Cohort Information

The Career & Technical (CTE) program is great for anyone with an educational and professional background in a vocational or technical field who wants to obtain their bachelor's degree.  Some examples are law enforcement, fire science, computer technology, automotive technology, HVAC, plumbing, business education and family and consumer sciences. Law enforcement professionals have the option of completing their major coursework in person in the Phoenix area in a cohort format.  This means that students attend class one night a week in a set location over the course of six semesters.  Students with other backgrounds are able to complete major coursework online.  General education coursework is completed independent of the cohort in consultation with the program coordinator.  Students are also eligible to receive credit for work experience, which can reduce the requirements by one year for part-time students.

Contact Diana Nelson, Program Coordinator for the CTE program, at Diana.Nelson@nau.edu.
