Meet The Faculty
Classes are taught online or in person at one of our local campuses by highly qualified instructors. Many full-time NAU faculty are appointed to one of our local campuses. These faculty, full members of their academic departments on the Flagstaff Mountain Campus, have their teaching assignments at one or more of our campuses in Arizona. They advise students; recruit, mentor and evaluate our part-time instructors; collaborate with local community college faculty and academic leaders to develop degree programs; and teach local NAU classes.
Locally-based NAU faculty members teach alongside a cadre of highly qualified part-time instructors. These part-time instructors, who live near our local campuses and often work professionally in the field they instruct, are held to the same rigorous standards as their full-time colleagues. Their experience in their field adds tremendous value to their contribution to the classroom.
Many online classes are taught by full-time faculty who reside on the Flagstaff Mountain Campus. By teaching online classes, these faculty members connect with the NAU student body residing elsewhere in Arizona and around the world.
